We are looking for a Building Control Officer to join the Building Control team at West Northamptonshire Council.
The role reports to the Principal Building Control Officer and is supported by the Team Leader - Building Control.
Location: Banbury (Primary office base) with primary responsibility for site visits.

Key responsibilities
* Conduct site inspections, plan vetting/approval and supervise building work related to Building Regulations and allied legislation.
* Provide professional Building Control services and maintain WNC Building Control’s reputation for excellent service.
* Assist with related duties as assigned by the team and senior management.
About you
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented and an excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
* Methodical and able to work independently on site.
* Knowledge of the internal computer administration system (DEF) is preferred.
