Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Whether your background is as a sports coach, youth worker, or someone experienced in handling disruptive behaviour, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work directly with students aged 11-16 years, providing one-to-one support and small group interventions.
2. Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to engage students in their educational progress and personal development.
3. Serve as a positive role model, guiding students towards better choices and developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
4. Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to construct individual support plans tailored to students' needs.
5. Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
6. Offer support during transitional periods and critical educational points, such as exams or progression to further education or employment.
7. Address attendance, punctuality, and conduct issues within the school, using restorative practices where appropriate.
8. Facilitate activities and workshops that build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in dealing with children or young adults demonstrating challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
* Capacity to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team.
* A commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity for all students.
* A relevant background as a sports coach, youth worker, or similar role working with young people.
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree or NVQ Level 3 in Youth Work, Childcare, Sports Coaching, or related fields.
* Training or qualifications in behaviour management, counselling, or psychology.
