Job Description
Payroll Advisor
7. Managing end‑to‑end payroll processing with accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
8. Overseeing daily payroll operations, including data checks, report audits, account reconciliations, and preparing payments to third parties.
9. Owning all statutory deadlines, such as monthly RTI submissions to HMRC.
10. Supporting additional payroll runs, variable pay elements, bonuses, pensions, and other pay-related activities.
11. Ensuring all payroll activities meet legislative requirements, GDPR standards, and internal control frameworks.
12. Partnering with HR, Finance, and external providers to maintain a smooth and reliable payroll service.
The Successful Applicant
Payroll Advisor
13. Solid experience in full-cycle UK payroll, preferably in a medium or large organisation, with exposure to hourly paid workforces.
14. Experience using different payroll systems (ideally Kronos/UKG, Oracle, Dayforce etc.)
15. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, etc.), with a clear focus on compliance.
16. Confident using payroll software and Excel for data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation.
17. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error‑free results.
18. Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive queries professionally.
19. CIPP qualification (or working towards it) is beneficial.
