We are seeking a highly strategic, technology-savvy Senior Client Director to lead one of our most valued and high-profile retail client account. This role requires an experienced relationship builder with a strong grasp of enterprise technology solutions, digital transformation, and the evolving retail landscape. The ideal candidate will serve as the senior point of contact for the client, leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovation, value, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Leadership and Strategic Advisory:
* Serve as the primary relationship owner and trusted advisor for a key retail client, ensuring satisfaction, long-term retention, and sustained account growth. Build and maintain strong, senior-level stakeholder relationships across IT, Digital, and Operations.
* Build and nurture senior relationships across the client’s business, in particular C-level in IT, Digital and Operations
* Strategic Planning & Growth:
* Develop and drive account growth strategies that align with client goals and industry trends, identifying opportunities to expand services and solutions.
* Service Delivery & Solution Design:
* Bridge business needs with technical solutions and deliver outcomes that solve technical challenges within Network infrastructure, Colleague Technology, Data and AI, Security and Cloud space.
* Deliver impactful outcomes across areas such as network infrastructure, colleague technology, data & AI, security, and cloud
* Lead the development of compelling business proposals[.
* Team Building and Management:
* Lead cross-functional teams (external associates, strategic partners and own headcount) to define project-specific Statements of Work (SOW) aligned with client goals.
* Support and coach your current team
* Interview and onboard all new consultants engaged in the client – to ensure cultural fit alongside relevant technical experience -
* Curate your team and shape team structure and culture.
* Strategic Partnership Development:
* Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with existing and new suppliers to enhance service capabilities and client offerings.
* Proactively manage strategic partnerships and commercial agreements.
* Own the overall commercial aspects of the client engagement with support from the Central Finance, Legal & Operations
* Specific oversight on invoices being raised on time and cash collected, Purchase Orders, Commercial Agreements around new Terms and Conditions, new areas of growth, revenues and order book, net margins, as examples.
* Operational Excellence
* Lead the SOW extension and contract extension processes
* Review and approve the SSA for each person
* Raise/update contracts for strategic partners
* Negotiate and provide an updated rate card to the current client
* Lead process improvements and define KPIs to enhance operational efficiency
Experience
* 5+ years of experience in client/account management within a technology or consulting environment, ideally with FTSE 100 retail clients.
* Strong understanding of retail technologies, Infrastructure platforms, CRM, digital transformation, and/or cloud-based solutions.
* Proven track record of growing client accounts and delivering profitable and measurable business outcomes.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.
* Can thrive in a dynamic startup environment, the ability to multi-task and with an “goal outcome based” mindset
* Experience in reporting to a board meeting on a regular basis
