Job Description

This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team to provide leadership ensuring that the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all aspects reviewed through internal audit, and remains fit for the future.
The role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, which may include:
* Assessing distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Developing and delivering innovative ways of working
1. Other responsibilities may include:
* Advancing recommendations from internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation initiatives
* Driving Area Hazardous Waste activities and increasing visibility
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation division, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure hazardous waste is managed correctly.

Additional Information

The role is based in our EA Office with flexible/hybrid working arrangements. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
