Job Description
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
The Programme Controls Coordinator will work collaboratively within the SPA Programme Controls team. As a member of the Programme Controls Team and reporting to the Governance Change and Reporting Manager, the successful applicant will be supporting multiple areas of Programme Controls deliverables.
This role will be for 12 months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover), hybrid and require attendance in the Peterborough office 2 days a week
Responsibilities
* Reporting - Coordinate the completion of the SPA Monthly Board Pack, monitoring completion of the pack and proactively chasing up input when required.
* Reporting - Upload key data to the Board Pack including Earned Value Management and Schedule Milestone data. Ensuring the submissions are presentable and assuring for obvious errors and omissions.
* Change Management – Assist in the administration and maintenance of the SPA Change process. Day to day activities include issuing of links to Change Request Forms (CRF’s) including unique reference numbers as requested and once complete, issue the CRF’s for assurance. Once validated issue invitations to the appropriate Governance Forum and circulate CRF’s and supporting documentation.
* Change Management - Update Change Register weekly to reflect the current change status and prepare monthly Change Report.
* Governance - Coordinate the Governance meetings, agenda, and documentation to ensure smooth running of meetings. Provide audit trail of approved changes, documented actions and decisions, and implementation of approved changes.
* Update the Governance Map and send out reminders to PIAMs where change to stage date or stage ceiling is required. Liaise with Cost team to keep Commercial data updated.
* Support the Data and Reporting lead with Power BI reporting.
* Provide reporting resilience for the team during annual leave and sickness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Experience of working in a programme controls environment.
* Experience of working independently and collaboratively as part of a project team
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Effective communicator in order to communicate detailed data to a non-data literate audience
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage/prioritise workloads and adapt and challenge
* Proficient IT skills to include – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and PowerBI
* Attention to detail to ensure reporting quality is maintained
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS
* Equivalent of 5 GCSEs, grades A*-C or 9-4 including Science, English, ideally with a Grade B or above in Maths
* Bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Engineering is preferred
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Project Management, Project Controls, Data Analytics, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
* MS Power Platform Dashboards, Apps and Forms (desirable).
