THE MATHS TEACHER JOB & SCHOOL
Based in Hampshire, this highly successful and popular special school caters to pupils aged 8-16 years with ASD, attachment difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenging behaviours. They are seeking to appoint an outstanding Maths Teacher who employs creative, multi-sensory, and dynamic teaching approaches.
The school fosters a strong community with a caring ethos where students and staff are respected and valued. They value parental and carer partnerships and maintain an open-door policy to support this.
The school offers bespoke curricula to enable all students to succeed and progress both educationally and emotionally, providing the support needed for students to access their entitled education.
THE IDEAL MATHS TEACHER APPLICANT
The school is open-minded regarding their ideal candidate and has outlined the following criteria:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (NQTs will be considered, as they have comprehensive induction and mentoring systems).
* A passion for Special Educational Needs with a creative, inspiring approach to curriculum development and delivery, capable of inspiring pupils to reach their full potential.
* Ability to work collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for all pupils.
* An understanding of behaviour management strategies to support pupils.
* Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to lead a team of Teaching Assistants effectively.
