Overview

You're an experienced Account Executive based in the East Midlands with Commercial Combined/Package experience and interested in specializing in marine insurance. We are working with one of the top regional Marine Insurance Brokers in the UK who are actively looking to make an offer to a Commercial Account Executive who has a passion and interest in marine and would like to transition their business development and client service skills into the sector. As a Marine Insurance Account Executive joining their Nottingham office, you will develop and network with prospective marine businesses, travel nationwide to provide quotes and risk management services. You will be joining one of the few remaining family owned, chartered Independent Insurance Brokers meaning you will have direct access to senior management, have a voice in the business and be part of a special marine insurance team. Additionally, this firm also have a Marine MGA in-house meaning you have extra services to leverage when and where required.

Given the marine sector is a strong 9referral9 industry, you are typically not aggressive with your approach, you\'re advice led and like to make a difference and in turn look to drive referral business from your existing clients. Joining this independent, privately owned Marine Insurance Broker you\'ll operate as a Marine Insurance Account Executive.


Responsibilities

* Develop and network with prospective marine businesses, travel nationwide to provide quotes and risk management services.
* Build and manage client relationships within the Marine Trades, Fishing Vessels, Sailing Clubs, Boat Builders, Boat Yards and related sectors.
* Prospect and convert opportunities with awareness of the UK coastal client base, leveraging the firm\'s Marine MGA in-house capabilities.
* Operate in a primarily advisory role, drive referral business from existing clients, and maintain a client-focused approach rather than aggressive sales tactics.


Qualifications and Skills

* Strong background in handling commercial combined insurance programmes for clients.
* Track record of developing business within the Marine Trade, Commercial Marine, and Yacht sectors; open to networking and attending sailing club events.
* Ability to work independently and travel across the UK to prospective and existing clients.
* Willingness to become an expert in the marine insurance market and to engage with clients through calls, meetings, and events.


What\'s on Offer

* Salary between £40,000 and £65,000, plus a commission scheme to increase earnings and additional benefits.
