Description
* Lead the tax department and oversee all tax-related activities.
* Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
* Ensure tax compliance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
* Cultivate strong relationships with clients, offering expert tax advice.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Foster a positive work environment, and mentor and develop team members.
* Participate in business development activities to increase the firm's client base.
* Prepare and present regular reports on the tax department's performance to senior management.
Profile
A Successful Tax Director Should Have
* A professional qualification in Tax, ideally CTA, but ATT + extensive experience is considered.
* Experience in a tax role within a professional services environment.
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
