APP Student Engagement and Projects Assistant (Fixed Term)
Job description
Fixed term for 2 years.
Due to the nature of this role and the associated objectives and audience, we especially encourage applications from ABMO (Global Majority) applicants, who can bring their lived experience and perspective to maximise student engagement and support delivery of the Access and Participation Plan projects.
Fixed-term opportunity for 2025 Leeds Trinity Graduates
Are you passionate about student engagement, equity, and supporting the success of Global Majority students? Do you want to build valuable skills and experience while helping to deliver impactful employability and leadership initiatives?
We are looking for a Student Engagement & Projects Assistant to join our Access and Participation Plan (APP) team. This exciting role will play a key part in supporting the Global Majority Leadership Programme, designed to enhance the graduate outcomes of Asian, Black, Mixed and Other (ABMO) students at Leeds Trinity University and our Franchise Partners.
You will work closely with the APP Events & Projects Coordinator and engage directly with students to:
* Co-create and promote the Global Majority Leadership Programme.
* Lead and support events, workshops, and focus groups.
* Encourage student engagement across the LTU community and Franchise Partners.
* Showcase student success stories and support communications activity.
* Assist with planning, coordination, and administration of projects and events.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, student engagement, and project delivery, while making a real difference to the student experience.
About You
We are looking for a 2025 Leeds Trinity Graduate who is:
* An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Committed to equity, inclusion, and anti-racist practice.
* Enthusiastic about supporting student development and employability.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools to support administration and communications.
Experience in events or a student-facing role is desirable, but not essential – we are looking for someone with the right skills, passion, and commitment to grow into the role.
Why Join Us?
* Gain professional experience in student engagement, project delivery, and event coordination.
* Develop transferable skills that will enhance your future employability.
* Contribute to meaningful initiatives that support equity, inclusion, and positive graduate outcomes.
* Work in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
