Social Care Service Coordinator
Location: Renfrewshire / East Renfrewshire
Salary: Competitive (starting at £28,000 per year)
Contract: Permanent – Full-time

Responsibilities
Coordinators will be responsible for promoting, developing and managing staff and services in designated local areas, ensuring services truly reflect individuals’ needs, are outcome‑focused and treat each person, their families and other carers with respect and dignity at all times.
* Liaising with referral agents; promoting new referrals and processing referrals
* Assessing individuals’ needs and aspirations/desired outcomes
* Planning, coordinating and ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality support & care
* Flexibly responding to individual needs and aspirations, assisting individuals to maximise opportunities to live fully, inclusively and independently as valued citizens in the community, in accordance with their wishes and preferences
* Providing leadership and a positive management approach that ensures staff and services develop in a highly flexible, proactive and responsive manner
Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent written and oral communication and computer skills
* Experience and aptitude for staff scheduling and rota creation
* Substantial experience working with individuals in a health and social care setting
* Sound knowledge and experience of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and of risk assessment & risk management
* Excellent time‑management skills and ability to prioritise and organise work effectively
* Experience working in partnership with statutory agencies (Social Work, Health)
* Active listening and interpersonal skills
* Substantial experience coaching, supervising or managing staff within a health & social care community setting
* Understanding of Care Inspectorate/SSSC Standards
* Creative problem‑solving and negotiation skills
* Current UK Driver’s Licence with access to a personal vehicle; travel throughout the designated geographical remit is expected
* Registered with the SSSC; holds an appropriate health and social care qualification at Level 3 or equivalent, and management credits of 15 at SCQF Level 7 (or willingness to work towards them)
* SVQ Level 4 and appropriate management qualification for registration purposes is desirable (willing to work towards these)
* Possible on‑call duty during emergencies
