Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their future ambitions? Do you thrive on guiding students through one of the most exciting, and sometimes overwhelming, decisions of their lives?

At The Grammar School at Leeds, we are seeking a knowledgeable, proactive and supportive University Applications Manager to join our Futures team.

As University Applications Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all higher education queries and play a crucial role in supporting and guiding students through every step of their university journey. From UCAS applications to overseas processes, SAT support and personal statements, you’ll help students navigate the complex and ever-changing world of higher education with confidence.

This is a varied and impactful role where you will be proofreading applications, delivering training to tutors, organising events, and liaising with universities, families and colleagues. You’ll also play a key part in admissions test coordination and supporting the Director of Sixth Form with statistical reporting and events such as results day.

You’ll be working closely with a friendly and collaborative Futures Team, including sixth form staff, subject departments and careers colleagues, all focused on giving our students the very best chance of success.

To thrive in this role, you will ideally have a L6 careers qualification or be willing to work towards. You will also ideally have experience in higher education systems and processes, alongside excellent organisational, IT and communication skills. Above all, you’ll bring a warm and approachable presence to support students and families, guiding them towards the best possible outcomes for their future.
