Primary Teaching Assistant Needed – Middlesbrough
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom cover in a Year 5 setting at a welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils’ learning and work as part of a supportive school team.

Position: Primary Teaching Assistant – Year 5 (General Cover)
Start Date: Ongoing / End of January
About the Role:
* Support the class teacher in a Year 5 classroom
* Provide general classroom cover and assist with day-to-day learning activities
* Support pupils both individually and in small groups
* Help create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
* Assist with classroom preparation and behaviour support
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working within a primary school setting (preferred)
* Confidence supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5
* A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Middlesbrough, supporting a Year 5 class on a general cover basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
