Overview
Personal Care & Support Assistant needed to help me live independently at home. I am a neurodiverse paraplegic with PTSD and chronic pain. I have a stoma and catheter. This role is about being supportive, practical, and organised. Experience in care is helpful, but a caring attitude matters most.
What the job involves
* Making me a morning coffee (drip coffee machine).
* Setting me up with my Functional Electrical Stimulation pads (training provided).
* Reminding me to take my meds and supplements.
* Helping me get into the shower.
* Helping to check for and monitor pressure areas.
* Cleaning the kitchen, emptying bins, sorting cat litter.
* General household chores.
* Helping prepare food.
* Assisting with shopping.
* Accompanying to medical appointments.
* Assisting with physical therapy.
* Keeping track of and ordering resupplies of medical equipment (stoma and catheter bags, pads, etc.).
* Assisting with calendar and appointments management (reminders) as well as cat supplies (food and medicine).
Hours
* Monday: 7am – 11am
* Tuesday–Friday: 7am – 9:30am
* Weekends: 8am – 10am
What I’m looking for
* Good with a cat.
* Knowledge of Google Calendar.
* Organised, friendly, and most importantly, dependable.
* Experience in care or supporting others with disabilities is great, but not essential.

* Job share is welcomed.
* Pay is an hourly rate of £13.50, paid monthly.
* Training for specific care tasks will be given.
* Your application should include your availability and a copy of your CV.
* Successful applicants will be subject to a three month trial period.
* A DBS check will be required; this will be at no cost to you.
