With many years' experience in the industry, they're entering another period of growth and are looking to expand their team due to customer demand.

We are looking for candidates to have previous experience in the Electronic Security Industry. Please only apply if you have experience in this industry, we not looking for a trainee at this time

The position is full time and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a company offering a very stable role within a successful family run business.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Installation, Service, Repair, Fault-finding & Maintenance of IP CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarm Systems
* Field based role, covering a number of sites
* Working on a range of brands of manufacturer
* Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
* Carry out effective communication with customers at all times
* Ensure tasks are completed efficiently
* Providing support to team members where required
* On call 1 in 4 weekends

Skills and Experience Required:

* A full UK driving licence or equivalent (Essential)
* A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
* Ideally you will have at least 5/6 years' experience working within the Security Industry
* Knowledge of a range of manufacturers to include Texecom,Pyronix,Hikvision,Paxton
* Networking CCTV and Access control
* A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must

Overview of Vacancy Role:

Our engineers are trained to know all aspects of the security industry which gives them a good advantage below is what you can expect, but may not be limited to:

* Structured training in electronic security for installation, maintenance and programming/commissioning
* In house training with the engineers and team leaders
* No two days are the same
* Different locations and environments to work in
* Examine security systems to locate problems or issues along with recommendations in accordance with British Standards or regulations.
* Test and service backup batteries for security systems and check programs and verify systems are functional.
* Diagnose system faults and respond where possible.
* Mount, fix and terminate security systems along with ancillary items.
* Maintain security systems in accordance with the British Standards and manufacturer's regulations.
* Review and understand electrical drawings or building blueprints and follow design details
* Install electrical cables in accordance with the design drawings in all types of premises, including conduits, tray work and bracketry.
* Inspect installations by others; review install methods and suggest alternative install ideas.
* Read manuals and keep yourself up to date with the latest technology advances in the security industry.
* Demonstrate systems for customers, answer technical questions and offer advice. Grow very strong customer focus skills
* Program security systems, reviewing and implementing the cause and effect process.
* Understand the consequences of programming systems and their effect on other building integrated life safety systems.
* Provide customers with a can-do attitude and actions.
* Communicate with customers to identify their needs and assess their risks for both fire and security systems.
* Provide out of hours cover along with working outside of normal working hours to maintain security system integrity.
* Maintain our customer as your number one priority, keeping integrity and customer satisfaction as your key objective.
* Provide team support to other engineers and colleagues when required.
* Develop a network of support to maintain the quality provision.

* The ability to abide by health and safety rules
* The ability to follow instructions and take notes

* Good personal hygiene
* We are looking for people who are focused, driven and committed to the apprenticeship.
* They need to be smart, polite, well organised, well-spoken and mannered with a positive can-do attitude.
* Need to be punctual, conscientious and hardworking with good attention to detail.
* The apprentices need to be able to work well alongside other people.
* All apprentices must have excellent communication skills and driven to provide first class service

Job Types: Full-time

Schedule:

* 8 hour shift
* Overtime

Licence/Certification:

* Driving Licence (preferred)

Desired Qualifications:

* GCSE's A-C (or in Maths, English and Physics (or Science if the subject was not split in three).
* A full clean UK drivers licence

Due to the nature of the Security industry, if successful, we will need to complete a number of background checks including a credit check, five-year referencing history and DBS check. All offers will be subject to successful completion of these background checks.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
