The Opportunity:
Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager on behalf of a business that is based in the Tarleton area. This business has been operating for over 80 years and has circa 600 staff. You'll be employed on a permanent basis and manage the end to end payroll process for both weekly and monthly payrolls.
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary of £40,000 - £45,000

Your New Role as the Network Planner:
•Maintain professional and technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements. Enforcing adherence through advising management on actions when needed.
•Assist in providing payroll data for annual statutory audit purposes.
•Complete six monthly HMRC compliance audits on driver receipts to facilitate lorry driver industry scale rate payments.
•Support a culture of continuous improvement working closely with the Finance Director in implementation of new processes and controls to improve efficiencies within payroll for the benefit of the wider business.
•Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure alignment on policies, benefits, and employee data.
•Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly (c.500 staff) and monthly pay (c.80 staff).
•Prepare and validate payroll data (starters, leavers, salary changes, absences, deductions)
•Manage pension contributions and administration including assisting in tri-annual pension re-enrolment duties in compliance with The Pension Regulator related regulations.
•Submit Real Time Information returns to HMRC on time
•Manage payroll inbox resolving all payroll discrepancies/queries. Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries, communicating clearly and confidently with colleagues and managers.
•Produce payroll reports where needed for Finance, HR, and senior leadership.
•Oversee payroll systems to ensure optimal functionality and regulatory compliance. Driving efficiencies within the payroll department including implementing new systems and improving the existing processes.
•Support payroll integration with time and attendance and accountancy systems.
