We are seeking a Bilingual (In Spanish) Clinician with an active registration with California State BBS or registration with the BBS as an Associate (license eligible professional) to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities
* Crisis Intervention certification required (may be acquired within 90 days of employment).
* Training in trauma-focused and/or trauma-informed psychotherapy is preferred.
* Interview individuals, couples, families, and other involved persons to gather personal and social data relevant to assessing psychological (mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders)
* Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments on individuals
* Develop person-centered, strength-based treatment plans
* Coordinate care with other staff members and community agencies
* Provide psychoeducation to individuals, families, and groups
* Assist individuals, and families in understanding and choosing options for mental health treatment
* Initiate and conduct individual and group therapy sessions
* Perform specialized tasks, including involuntary hospitalization procedures (5150) and Tarasoff assessments
* Prepare reports and compose correspondence
* Act as a case consultant to other clinical therapists and other departmental staff
* Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands
* Perform crisis intervention during scheduled work hours and on-call
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, healthcare, or another related field; master’s degree a plus
* Previous experience professional social work experience
* Must have transportation available to travel to meet with clients
* Self-directed and able to work without supervision
