About the role

McCainers are ambitious, curious, and interested in creating good work experiences. We focus on the customer and aim to make doing business with McCain easy. We are expanding beyond potatoes into new categories and channels across Retail, Foodservice, and QSR. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, a strategic marketing leader ready to help us write the next chapter. This role can be permanent or fixed-term for up to 12 months. It offers scope, visibility, and career potential, serving as a springboard into a Marketing Director role.

In this role, you'll own a dynamic product portfolio, driving growth through consumer insight, bold strategy, and flawless execution. You'll bring curiosity, creativity, and commercial acumen—combining understanding of people with data discipline. Responsibilities include shaping brand strategy, leading cross-functional teams, working with creative agencies, and delivering innovation to market. You'll need to think big, thrive on execution, and connect brands with people.


What you'll do

* Shape and deliver breakthrough brand strategies rooted in consumer insight.
* Manage and grow your portfolio with a focus on profitability and performance.
* Drive pricing, promotion, and portfolio strategies for commercial impact.
* Partner with creative, media, and PR agencies for insight-led communications.
* Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovations that excite consumers and customers.


Requirements

* Proven experience in FMCG marketing, with a Product or Brand Manager role - Essential
* Previous people management experience - Desirable
* Degree level education or equivalent - Essential
* Strong grasp of consumer data sources (EPOS, Shopper Panel) - Essential
* Understanding of consumer research techniques - Essential


Skills

* Proficient PC skills, especially Excel - Essential
* Excellent communication and presentation skills - Essential
* Creative, curious, and commercially minded - Essential
* Analytical with strong numerical skills - Essential
* Confident project management skills - Essential
