We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with both clients and healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering personalised care plans.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while providing compassionate support tailored to individual needs.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems used for record keeping and communication within the team.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential.
* A strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Proficiency in English is required for clear communication with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed.
