A growing IT managed services provider is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join its delivery team in Essex.
This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys delivering structured IT projects within a client-facing environment. The successful Project Manager will oversee technical onboarding, service transition, and infrastructure change projects while working closely with internal technical specialists and client stakeholders.
The organisation supports a wide range of businesses and delivers projects across areas such as infrastructure upgrades, IT migrations, and operational transitions. The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and within agreed budgets while maintaining a strong focus on client experience.
The Role & What We’re Looking For
1. Taking ownership as Project Manager for the successful delivery of technical onboarding, transition, and infrastructure projects
2. Coordinating engineers, subject matter experts, and third-party vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved
3. Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and delivery documentation
4. Identifying risks, managing issues, and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
5. Communicating regularly with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure clear visibility of project progress
6. Managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation across assigned projects
7. Producing structured project reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
8. Previous experience working as a Project Manager, or in a project delivery / transition role within IT
9. Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with senior decision makers
10. Ability to understand IT environments and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
11. Experience using project planning tools and Microsoft Office applications
Project management certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent methodologies would be highly desirable for this Project Manager role.
