Serco Limited – Fire Fighting Instructor
Based at Warsash Maritime Academy, Hampshire. Monday to Friday, 37 hours. £33,248 plus benefits.
Main Accountabilities
* Adhere to Warsash Maritime Academy’s quality assurance procedures.
* Carry out instructional duties on firefighting courses organised by WMA, including practical demonstrations and exercises, ensuring training standards align with company, national or international guidelines.
* Ensure health, safety and welfare of staff/students in accordance with WMA Fire School safety procedures, including rendering immediate first aid if necessary.
* Provide support services in connection with the Fire School functions, including care and maintenance of premises and equipment.
* Assess individual students or groups of students in accordance with relevant standards.
* Undertake personal development as required by WMA for efficient course delivery.
* Perform administrative or any other duties by agreement as required.
What you’ll need to do the role – Essential
* Firefighting experience.
* BA Wearer.
* Good communicational skills.
Desirable
* Serving or retired firefighter.
* Maritime experience.
* BAI.
* Teaching qualification.
* First Aid.
* Good level of fitness.
