Enterprise Resilience Manager is a global energy company.
Enterprise Resilience function is responsible for defining and maintaining the Resilience Management Framework, including standards and procedures, to ensure that Business Continuity and Incident/Crisis Management practices align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging best practices.
The Enterprise Resilience Manager provides expert guidance and strategic direction to business units and functions, supporting the development and implementation of effective Resilience Programmes and Strategies. It ensures that all resilience capabilities-such as plans, processes, and resources-are clearly defined, cost-effective, regularly tested, and capable of mitigating organisational risk.
Key skills required include; building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business to drive engagement, accountability, and consistency in managing resilience risks and activities.
The function also ensures seamless integration and escalation across emergency response, service continuity, and disaster recovery through the Resilience Management Framework and Supplier Assurance processes. Additionally, it leads the Centre of Excellence for Resilience, cultivating a community of practice in business continuity management and supporting the continuous development, implementation, and improvement of enterprise-wide resilience tools, capabilities, and training initiatives.
Job Description Key Accountabilities
Facilitate and Support Incident and Crisis Management:
Assist businesses and functions in maintaining and exercising Incident and Crisis Management structures and response processes.
Ensure effective management of both planned (including material changes) and unplanned incidents and disruptive events (including material breaches and cyber-attacks) through the Resilience Management Framework
Establish and Sustain Effective Response Structures:
Develop and maintain robust response structures and capabilities to mitigate the adverse impacts of cross-enterprise risks, incidents, and events (e.g., pandemics).
Ensure documentation, key contact details and resources are up-to-date and regularly tested to sustain the Group Crisis Management Team's capability.
The ability to understand and direct technical resources to fulfil Business requirements
An understanding of technical structures and resilience, including back-up strategies
Maintain External Liaison and Stay Informed:
Engage with regulatory, industry, and professional bodies as appropriate to stay updated on emerging legislation, standards, risks, and lessons from external events.
Facilitate continuous improvement by implementing best practices and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across to the client.
Governance, Oversight, and Support for Resilience Programmes:
Deliver governance, oversight, and support to monitor and maintain the effectiveness of Resilience Programmes across the client, ensuring compliance with the L2 client Standard.
Align resilience governance with broader client, business and functional governance frameworks, activities and processes as required.
Offer Expertise on GDPR Breach and Incident Management:
Provide subject matter expertise and advice on the GDPR breach and incident management process.
Facilitate the assessment and overall incident and crisis management response to material breaches.
Oversee and Support Scenario Testing:
Support in the regular testing of various scenarios and recovery solutions.
Build confidence within response teams and ensure processes deliver effective capability and alignment across appropriate response levels.
Coordinate Supplier Resilience Assurance:
Manage supplier resilience assurance activities within the overall supplier risk management process, contributing to a comprehensive view of supply chain risk.
Provide subject matter expertise to ensure critical third-party and supplier contracts, along with associated supply chain dependencies, are assessed and managed according to resilience requirements.
Ensure the effective implementation and operation of resilience frameworks across Group Functions:
