THE BUSINESS
Our client is a market-leading provider of pumps, pumping systems, and engineered water solutions. Based in Hull, they design, manufacture, install, commission and service pumping station systems across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they are expanding the Operations team and are looking for an experienced Service Coordinator – Team Lead to manage call-outs, servicing, after works, engineer scheduling, and to support the wider coordination team.
They are looking for someone with experience working on a busy service/call out desk. This will involve taking calls, processing planned works, scheduling labour within the engineering team, closing job cards and pricing any additional works. This is a fast-paced role, you must be good at multi-tasking as you could be dealing with multiple jobs at the same time. Attention to detail is also critical and communication with customers must be clear, succinct and well documented.
As a Service Coordinator – Team Lead, you will oversee the full lifecycle of reactive and planned engineering works. You will also provide day-to-day support to other Service Coordinators, offering guidance, identifying areas for improvement, and helping ensure a consistent and high-quality service across the department.
You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring customer expectations are met, and deploying our engineering team efficiently and safely.

THE ROLE
* Act as the first point of contact for all call-outs, servicing requests, and after works
* Log, manage and update jobs through the internal system
* Schedule engineers based on location, skillset, urgency and availability
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, reorganising schedules when required
* Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates and manage expectations
* Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure clear job notes, RAMS and instructions
* Raise, track and complete after works following call-outs
* Prepare and circulate servicing schedules
* Upload and maintain accurate job records, reports, commissioning sheets and documentation
* Work collaboratively with Operations, Sales and Project Teams
* Support health & safety compliance and ensure required paperwork is completed
* Assist with general administrative tasks linked to job and engineer coordination
Team Lead Responsibilities:
* Support and mentor other Service Coordinators in the team
* Provide guidance on scheduling, communication standards, and job management
* Monitor workloads and assist with balancing tasks across the team
* Identify areas for improvement in processes and service delivery
* Contribute to the development of best practices and operational procedures
* Take ownership of coordination quality, ensuring consistency across the department
THE PERSON
* Experience as a Project Coordinator, Scheduler or Service Coordinator (engineering/construction preferred)
* Strong organisational and multitasking ability
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to support, guide and work collaboratively with colleagues
* Able to stay calm under pressure and react quickly to operational changes
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience using job management systems
* Strong attention to detail with a positive, proactive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
* Capable of managing multiple jobs at different stages simultaneously
