Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects, taking designs from concept through to detailed engineering and manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
: Design mechanical components, assemblies, and industrial machinery using SolidWorks.
: Produce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models.
: Design sheet metal components and welded fabrications to manufacturing standards.
: Support projects from concept through to manufacture and delivery.
: Liaise with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost:effective.
: Generate BOMs and technical documentation.
: Support prototype builds, testing, and design improvements.
Skills and Experience Required:
: Strong experience using SolidWorks (essential).
: Background in mechanical design within industrial machinery, fabrication, or similar environments.
: Minimum 3 years' experience in Mechanical Design.
: Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
: Strong attention to detail and problem:solving skills.
: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
: BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Design Engineering, or similar.
