As Junior Buyer you will help to develop our branded beauty portfolio which includes; skincare, makeup, fragrance, haircare, and other wellness products.
Day to day, the role involves working with suppliers, carrying out commercial analysis to assess portfolio performance, helping with product selection, promotion planning, and play a key role in ensuring that assortment is trend led and aligns with our brand strategy.
To be successful you must be a great communicator, hard working, a self starter who loves beauty, and an excellant team player. Comfortable working closely with collegaues in Merchandising, Brand Marketing.
Buying & Product Selection
* Support the buying team in selecting commercially successful branded beauty ranges.
* Assist in building product assortments across all categories; skincare, cosmetics, wellness, bath & body, fragrance, and haircare.
* Monitor beauty trends, competitor activity, and new product launches.
* Help manage product lifecycle including launches, discontinuations, and replenishment.
* Support in analysing sales, margin, stock, and sell-through performance.
Supplier & Brand Management
* Build relationships with branded beauty suppliers and distributors.
* Support negotiations on trading terms, cost prices, promotions, marketing contributions, and exclusives.
* Book and attend supplier meetings and maintain accurate records of what was discussed and agreed.
Promotions & Marketing
* Assist with promotional planning and campaign execution.
* Work closely with marketing and ecommerce/trade teams to brief launches and beauty campaigns.
* Support the creation of product briefs, launch calendars, and promotional activity.
Operational Support
* Maintain accurate product data and pricing systems.
* Coordinate with merchandising, supply chain, and ecommerce teams.
* Ensure timely setup of new product launches online and in-store.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in retail buying or merchandising ideally in beauty.
* Strong interest and knowledge of the beauty industry and trending branded products.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
* Proficient in Excel and retail reporting systems.
* Good communication and relationship-building skills.
