Operations Director – NPD-Focused Food Manufacturer
Location: Leicestershire (commutable from Wigston, Hinckley, Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Market Harborough)
Salary: £65,000–£80,000 (depending on experience and ability to scale manufacturing)
We are partnering with a fast-growing, R&D/NPD-focused food manufacturing business experiencing over 20% year-on-year growth. They are seeking an Operations Director to help scale their manufacturing and lead operational excellence across the business.
The Role
This is a broad-ranging Operations leadership role covering:
* Sourcing and procurement
* R&D/formulation
* Production, packaging, labelling, and QC
* Fulfilment and supply chain management
You will have autonomy for the CapEx roadmap, including automation projects, to accelerate manufacturing scale-up. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who wants to grow with a fast-moving, innovative business.
Who We Are Looking For
* Current or recent Operations Manager, Site Manager, Head of Operations, Production Manager, or Operations Director
* Experience in highly regulated manufacturing (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, FMCG)
* Exposure to GMP, HACCP, BRC, or similar regulatory frameworks
* Interest in agile, small-batch, high-mix manufacturing, rather than high-volume “turn-the-handle” production
* Based in or willing to commute to Leicestershire / Warwickshire region
Your Background
* A rounded Operations leader passionate about improving a scale-up manufacturing business; this could be your first Director-level role
* Experience managing multi-functional operations, including R&D and manufacturing
* Track record of scaling manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence
