Job Description
Food Service Manager – strategically lead the team to elevate guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and train the Food & Beverage Operations team.
* Ensure Food & Beverage relevant brand standards are maintained.
* Strategize on new products and service offerings.
* Create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
* Oversee full‑service hotel food operations: breakfast service, bar operations, banquet events up to 150+ guests.
* Manage staff scheduling, stocktaking, health and safety, performance reviews.
* Represent the General Manager and perform duty management shifts.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or management role within hotel food and beverage operations.
* Proven experience managing full‑service hotel food operations, including breakfast, bar and banquet services.
* Knowledge of Brand Standard advantageous.
* Service‑focused mindset with strong relationships with guests, staff and suppliers.
* Strong leadership capabilities, able to lead by example and develop team culture for over twenty members.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
* Passion for continuous improvement and ambition to grow into Operations Manager or General Manager.

Working Environment
The MERCURE White Hart hotel is the largest hotel in the City of Salisbury, with 68 bedrooms and 12 apartments. It offers event space for up to 220 guests in five unique spaces and is known as the go‑to place for all events within the area.
Shift patterns: weekends off on a rotational basis and straight shifts (breakfast 6 am‑3 pm, late 3 pm‑11 pm, day shifts such as 12 pm‑9 pm or 9 am‑5 pm).
