- THE ROLE -

The postholder will be a full-time, dedicated project manager in the Ulster team, responsible for reporting on the progress of all Ulster's contractual responsibilities to BT.

The role will focus primarily on ensuring strict financial management of the (Ulster) BTIIC budget, and tracking progress of KPIs and deliverables.

The Technical Project Manager will also provide technical research management, direction and operational leadership that will enable the clear interpretation of project requirements and monitoring and assessment of performance and progress. To achieve this, they will play a central role in managing the Ulster University research team's interactions with BT, with a particular focus on those areas where engineering down-streaming is prioritised.

We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.

- ABOUT YOU -

The postholder will be required to have:

- A Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
- A PhD in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience of working in a Research and Development environment in the areas of Machine Learning, IoT and Network Security.
