Trade Operative - Plumber
£36,353 - £38,267 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm
We are looking for an experienced Trade Operative – Plumber to join our Responsive Repairs and Maintenance team based in Aberdeen. You will work on Social Housing properties across the region. The candidate should be qualified in Plumbing and any additional trades experience would be beneficial. Working as part of a ten person team you will carry out repairs to properties to meet letting standards. The role will involve lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover sites across the area.
The role of Trade Operative - Plumber will include:
* Carrying out all types of repairs from replacing a door to lifting and replacing floors, fitting kitchen units and fitting doors and windows
* Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
* Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
* Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
* To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
* Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
* Good communication and customer care skills
* Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

* Role salary is £33,049 with an additional policy allowance of £3,304 per annum (rising to £34,788 with an additional policy allowance of £3,478 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
