Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Alternative Provision Practitioners to join our team. As an Alternative Provision Practitioner, you will work with students who require additional support and guidance in their education. Your role will involve providing individualized instruction and support to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
* To plan, deliver and assess educational interventions.Provide verbal and written feedback on interventions to the Alternative Provision Lead using Verbatim's procedures.
* Motivate and progress pupils' learning following guidance from Alternative Provision Lead.
* Organise and safely manage the appropriate learning environment and resources.
* Use positive behaviour management strategies appropriate for each individual child.
* Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the Alternative Provision Lead as appropriate.
* Adhere to Verbatim's policies and procedures relating to safeguarding.
* Attend briefings, focus meetings and training days, along with sharing good practice with members of staff as part of the commitment to own and others' professional development.
* Positively represent Verbatim with outside agencies and commissioners.
* Work in a therapeutically informed evidence based manner in line with Verbatim
Experience:
* Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience.
* Experience in the delivery of educational interventions.
* Experience of working in a team.
* Experience of following Safeguarding protocols and having difficult conversations when needed.
