Offer description

Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse ready to make a real difference? Do you want to be part of a world-leading organisation dedicated to supporting people with sight loss? This is your chance to use your skills in a meaningful way and work alongside an inspiring team at one of our RCVS accredited veterinary practices. You’ll play a vital role in providing clinical care to our breeding dogs, puppies, training dogs, and working guide dogs. You’ll work within a dedicated team, supporting the Veterinary Surgeons within the nursing team to deliver the best possible care. Key Responsibilities: Assist with examinations, diagnostics, and treatment for ongoing conditions. Support surgical services and breeding dog procedures. Help with outpatient clinics and the care of hospitalised dogs. Contribute to laboratory procedures and pharmacy operations. Foster collaborative relationships with Guide Dog Owners and volunteers. What We’re Looking For: Registered Veterinary Nurse with proven clinical experience. Knowledge of small animal clinical practice, including in-patient care, lab, and pharmacy operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management systems. Familiarity with veterinary computed radiography units. A valid UK/EU driving licence (or ability to complete the role without one). This role will be based on site at our Guide Dogs National Centre near Leamington. You’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, no out of hours. No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we are proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people. How to apply When you are ready to apply, submit an online application form via this page. If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role before applying, or require any accessibility support to apply, our friendly recruitment team is ready and waiting to help. Guide Dogs follow Safer Recruitment practices to ensure we are safeguarding the vulnerable people we work with. As part of this, we require a full work history with any gaps accounted for & a minimum of 2 professional referee details fully covering the past 5 years.
