Working closely with both school based and central colleagues, your responsibilities will cover: Accurate processing of purchase invoices using finance systems Reconciling supplier statements and handling discrepancies Supporting payment runs and maintaining supplier accounts Raising purchase orders for the central team Preparing journals, corporate card/cashless payment, and ad hoc sales invoices Assisting with year end accruals and general finance administration Liaising with colleagues in a clear, professional, and friendly way The Ideal Candidate: Experienced in processing purchase invoices, including matching to purchase orders Background in a finance or accounts environment Skilled in maintaining accurate financial/administrative records using IT systems Strong grasp of basic finance processes, purchase orders, invoice approval, payment runs Confident IT user, comfortable with finance systems Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach Capable of prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines accurately Follows procedures, maintains audit trails, and works within established controls Effective written and verbal communicator, able to resolve queries with colleagues Team player with flexibility, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving Able to work independently, escalating issues appropriately Trustworthy, confidential, and cooperative Aware of safeguarding responsibilities and dedicated to promoting student welfare Desirable: A levels or equivalent AAT Finance qualification Experience reconciling supplier statements Previous experience in a school, academy, or public sector setting Familiar with Access Dimensions software Proactive in improving processes Willing to support new systems and adapt as the organisation develops Ready to take the next step in your finance career while enjoying a family-friendly schedule?
