My client based on the outskirts of Huntingdon are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. You will be overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse, managing inventory, logistics and staff to ensure timely receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
Hours – Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00
Friday – 07:30 – 15:30.
Salary £40-45,000 DOE
Main responsibilities:
Operational:
1. Managing the daily work plan – conducting daily meetings with the team.
2. Through effective communication ensure that the team understand the warehouse objectives and through frequent reviews, that customer satisfaction levels are continually monitored and maintained.
3. Provide clear, actionable updates on stock, order flow and operational performance to senior management.
4. Streamline warehouse workflows to boost efficiency, reduce errors and minimise costs.
5. Be flexible in having a hands-on approach to all areas of the warehouse requirements
Budget Control:
6. Plan and implement the local budget to ensure that costs are justified and meet the operational needs of the business
7. Manage the cost base and expenses in line with the agreed budgets
Talent Management:
8. Lead, motivate and supervise warehouse staff. Set clear performance standards and lead by example
9. Continue to grow the team to ensure that they are equipped with the right skills to meet changing market and customer needs
10. Ensure that values and behaviours are reflected in everything the team do
Health & Safety:
11. Delivery of a safe, secure and clean work environment for team members
12. Overall accountability for Health, Safety and the Environment in all areas of responsibility
13. Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
14. In the event of an accident/incident ensure that the correct reporting procedure is followed, and corrective action is taken where necessary
