The role
Step into a role where your mortgage industry experience becomes the foundation for developing others. Based in Wilmslow with hybrid flexibility, you'll be the trusted coach and mentor for a portfolio of self-employed mortgage advisers. This isn't about micromanagement - it's about empowering professionals to reach their potential through structured support, training identification, and performance coaching.
Primary responsibilities:
* Conduct regular one-to-one coaching sessions with network advisers to review performance and identify growth opportunities
* Monitor adviser KPIs and work collaboratively to develop strategies for improvement and business growth
* Assess individual training needs and coordinate appropriate development programmes
* Provide technical mortgage guidance and support complex case scenarios when required
* Build strong working relationships with advisers, understanding their business goals and personal motivations
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure advisers receive comprehensive business support
Essential skills and experience:
* Solid background within banking, mortgage lending, or mortgage advisory roles with deep industry understanding
* Experience working with mortgage products, compliance requirements, and lending criteria across multiple providers
* Natural coaching abilities with demonstrated experience in people development or mentoring
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse personalities
* Understanding of self-employed business challenges and what drives adviser success
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively whilst remaining supportive
