Marine Engineer
Full Time, Permanent. Hampshire Area. Salary £35,000 – £45,000 P.A. (Negotiable) with realistic overtime potential exceeding £60,000 P.A. plus benefits.
Role Overview
Work within an established team covering the Southern Coast area and overseas. Perform servicing, maintenance and repair on industrial marine equipment, including engines and turbo machinery on large vessels such as cargo ships, ferries, cruise ships, and oil tankers.
Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair on engines and turbo equipment.
* Perform refurbishments and repairs on a wide range of industry-specific motors of all sizes.
* Attend client sites, which involves EU and international travel.
* Handle mechanical and electrical work.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years experience in a marine engineering environment.
* Experience with MAN, VOLVO, ABB or Cummins turbos is desirable.
* Ability to interpret technical information and solve problems to reduce downtime.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for communication at all levels.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
