An excellent opportunity has arisen for Ash Trees Surgery to recruit a wound care nurse, who will work alongside our existing nurses and GPs. The post holder will be a highly experienced wound care nurse and will contribute to the skilled delivery of wound and predominantly leg ulcer clinics.

About us
Ash Trees Surgery is a six-site practice, located on the picturesque border of North Lancashire and South Cumbria. We are part of Carnforth and Milnthorpe PCN and work collaboratively with Park View Surgery, where we prioritize exceptional patient care and collaborative teamwork.
The role will be mainly based at our Milnthorpe and Arnside practices, with some sessions at our main site in Carnforth.
Job responsibilities
The individual will be expected to display good clinical skills and to work collaboratively and proactively with all teams to meet the needs of clients. This will include being actively involved in carrying out clinical skills as directed in a shared plan of care, enabling clients, their families, and carers to be involved in the prevention and management of wounds and lymphoedema in the lower limb.
In choosing to undertake this role, the post holder will also be required to undertake other duties which will assist all other staff employed within Ash Trees Surgery to contribute to the operation of an efficient and effective service for the population.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* RGN.
* Courses in wound care, especially leg ulcers.
* Courses in dopplers for lower limbs.
* Courses in compression bandaging.
Experience
* Experience working in primary care.
* Experience liaising with tissue viability nurses.
* Ability to liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team to help the patient achieve their goals.
* Experience in teaching and assessing in practice.
