The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in managing and delivering a range of planning projects. You will liaise directly with clients, local authorities and stakeholders, and be instrumental in driving applications forward. You will also support and mentor junior planners, helping to develop their careers while continuing to grow your own.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and managing planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals
* Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice
* Engaging with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
* Supporting business development opportunities and contributing to the consultancy’s growth
* Acting as a mentor and role model to junior staff
* Demonstrating a drive for personal and professional progression
About You
* MRTPI Chartered or working towards chartership
* 3–6 years’ experience within planning consultancy or local authority
* Strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ambitious, commercially aware and committed to career progression
