Acuity Care Group is looking for experienced and compassionate Intensive Support Workers to join our community-based team. This role is based in Staffordshire and involves travel of up to 80 miles to support adults and children with complex health needs, including brain and spinal injuries, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
You will work across a variety of care packages, delivering high-quality, person-centred support that enables individuals to live safely and independently in their own homes. No two days are the same.
Key Information
* Base: Staffordshire
* Coverage: Travel required up to 80-mile radius from Staffordshire base (accommodation and expenses covered where needed)
* Shifts: Days, nights, sleep-ins, and live-ins
* Rota: 4-on, 4-off including some weekends and bank holidays
* On-call rota participation, scheduled six months in advance
Duties And Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, support with mobility, and medication administration
* Support with bowel and bladder care, respiratory needs, and enteral feeding
* Undertake advanced clinical tasks such as tracheostomy care, ventilation, and suctioning (Tier 2 only)
* Assist clients on appointments, holidays, and community outings
* Maintain accurate care records and liaise with families and professionals
* Ensure safe working practices aligned with care plans and company policy
Requirements
* Previous complex care experience is essential
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Flexible, reliable, and confident in working across different care packages
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, compassionate, and person-centred approach
Pay and Career Progression
* Tier 1: £16.00 per hour + mileage
* Tier 2: £18.00 per hour + mileage (includes enhanced clinical duties)
* Opportunity to progress from Tier 1 to Tier 2 through structured training and competency development
