Job Opportunity: Quality Officer at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering the highest quality of patient care and supporting research. Our Clinical Genomics laboratories have successfully achieved initial ISO 15189 assessments and ongoing reassessments.
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Officer to collaborate with the Clinical Genomics Operational team and the Pathology Quality Management team. This role involves working on an exciting project to merge Molecular Diagnostics and Cytogenetics into a unified Quality Management System (QMS), further developing existing systems, and leading teams toward future successes.
The successful candidate will work closely with staff across both units, demonstrating keen attention to detail and a solid understanding of ISO 15189:2012. Responsibilities include conducting audits, root cause analysis, trend analysis, and producing detailed reports.
The key responsibility is to manage compliance within the Clinical Genomics laboratories, in partnership with the Pathology Quality Manager and laboratory staff. The role is crucial in implementing changes necessary for the merger of Molecular Diagnostics and Cytogenetics laboratories, aligning with UKAS scopes, and maintaining an effective UKAS Schedule of Accreditation to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
