Legal Assistant (Conveyancing) – Join our dynamic team to support a Solicitor in the growing conveyancing department.
Role: This position requires a previous background in legal assistance or secretarial duties, strong communication skills, the ability to work well with others under tight deadlines, discretion with sensitive matters, and methodical organisational skills.
Responsibilities
* Maintain Fee Earner's diaries, arrange meetings and appointments.
* Open and close files.
* Attend to clients in person and by telephone while ensuring the firm’s standards of client care.
* Create and maintain client records on the firm’s database, recording all correspondence and file notes.
* Produce client correspondence and enclosures for mailing, including client bills.
* Ensure the confidentiality of all client and firm information and documentation.
* Maintain client hard‑copy files, including copying, storage and retrieval of information.
* Request payments and record receipts of client monies.
* Submit applications to register properties with the Land Registry.
* Assist in drafting contract packs, transfer forms and other legal documents.
* Provide reception cover as and when needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and handle time‑constrained workloads.
* Discretion with sensitive matters.
* Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach.

* Salary – dependent on experience (approximately GBP 26,000 to 28,000).
