Role Overview
Applications are welcomed for the post of Healthcare Support Worker within the Outpatient Department at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.
The Outpatient Department provides a comprehensive range of services across multiple specialties and supports a busy and diverse clinical environment. We are seeking an individual who demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good IT competence, and the ability to work flexibly and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The ability to use initiative appropriately, alongside strong organisational, customer service, and problem‑solving skills, is essential.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake delegated duties in support of direct patient care and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of outpatient services. They will maintain high standards of care in accordance with NHS policies and procedures. Following a period of supported induction and training, there will be opportunities to develop additional competencies relevant to the role.
Working Hours and Locations
This is a 25‑hour post. Shift patterns will be arranged to meet the needs of the service. The post is based at Victoria Hospital, but the successful applicant must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across both acute hospital sites as required.

* Ability to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom. Evidence may include visa, EU settled or pre‑settled status, or sponsorship eligibility, which must be confirmed before application.
