Digby Group is working with a well-known regional law firm to find a dedicated Probate Practitioner or Solicitor to join their specialist team. You’ll focus primarily on obtaining Grants of Probate, supporting complex cases, and guiding colleagues where needed.
Key Requirements
We’re looking for someone with a solid grasp of probate law and estate administration. You’ll have experience managing your own caseload independently, though this role will mostly focus on the extraction process, with full administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit legal documents to the court and HMRC
* Support estate administration and provide advice to team members
* Manage probate timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
* Keep detailed, accurate records throughout the process
Skills & Experience
* Qualified Solicitor or Probate Practitioner
* Strong understanding of probate law and procedures
* Clear, confident communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
* Empathetic approach when dealing with clients during sensitive times
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* £40,000–£50,000 salary (depending on experience)
* Bonus structure
* 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), with increases over time
