Duties as a Geography Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared Geography lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Encourage student engagement with geographical themes, current events, and global issues.
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment.
* Support students’ understanding of geographical content and activities.
* Provide feedback to the Geography department on lesson outcomes and student engagement.
* Cover other subjects when needed, maintaining the same level of professionalism.
Ideal Geography Cover Supervisor:
* Hold a degree in Geography or a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Urban Studies).
* Be confident, organised, and adaptable.
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills as a Geography Cover Supervisor.
* Be passionate about Geography and enthusiastic about working with young people.
* Be interested in pursuing a career in education or teacher training.
