Payroll Advisor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll Advisor to join a leading UK infrastructure and construction services provider on a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 9-12 months. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate weekly and monthly payrolls for a workforce of over 500 employees and subcontractors.
This role suits a detail-oriented, proactive professional with solid payroll knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Advisor include:

Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for PAYE employees and subcontractors.

Maintain and update Time & Attendance systems, ensuring data accuracy.
*
Manage statutory payments, pensions, and deductions in line with legislation.
*
Prepare reports and collaborate with Finance and HR on payroll data and queries.
*
Provide professional support on payroll-related matters to colleagues and managers.
Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience in payroll processing within a multi-site or high-volume environment.
*
Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
*
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and confidentiality.
*
Confident using Microsoft Excel and payroll systems (e.g., Sage or similar).
*
Effective communicator with a proactive, team-focused approach.
*
You must be able to drive - this position is offering hybrid and the option to work part-time however, the office is not accessible via public transport.
