The Role
Our client, Assent Building Control, is a national Approved Inspector who support the development of safe and inspirational buildings of the future, in accordance with building safety regulations. Delivering building control solutions on over 30,000 projects a year, this role is critical to assist the finance team, and you would be joining the business at an exciting time as they embark on significant projects that will shape the future of the industry. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving our financial strategy and operations, offering a unique opportunity to grow and make a substantial impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Finance Director, the purpose of this role is to provide a high level of financial acumen, analyse complex financial data to support decision making and develop strategic financial/commercial thinking ability in the management team.
* Working closely with department heads, and managing relationships with external stakeholders, the main aspects of this role will be to develop and manage the overall financial strategy for the organisation, conduct financial analysis, prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, develop and document business processes and accounting policies and effectively manage cost and working capital to optimise cash generation.
* You will also lead and manage the finance team to deliver high-quality financial services across the business to ensure continuous improvement, development and team effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
* To be shortlisted for this role you will need a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar senior financial management role, a degree in finance, accounting, or related field plus a professional qualification ACA / CIMA.
* To be successful in this role you will need strong business acumen, the ability to balance operational and financial goals, be an excellent communicator and an expert in building relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy is essential along with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
