Annual salary of £76,176 (FTE) Plus car allowance Permanent role Full-time (37 Hours) St Helens office base, hybrid working Please Note: We are not using recruitment agencies for this position. Proposed Interview Date: 10th February 2026 The role The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of direct labour trade staff, managers, and supervisors, overseeing the successful delivery of multiple external works contracts across the North West. The role requires a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring a consistently high level of service to all external customers. You will be responsible for the effective leadership and commercial management of several external contracts, adopting a commercially driven approach to generate competitive margins while ensuring all operational, delivery, and financial targets are achieved. The role also involves full accountability for budget management relating to external contracts, with values in excess of £10 million. You will lead the delivery of reactive capital and compliance works programmes across the Regenda housing stock, including but not limited to: Windows and doors Roof replacements Kitchens and bathrooms Communal entrance doors The right fit A track record of building, leading, motivating and inspiring multi-disciplinary teams committed to the vision and values of the organisation. Significant senior level experience which demonstrates the ability to analyse, interpret and report on complex information to a standard appropriate to the role. Successful track record of technical expertise in delivering domestic services with also a commercial focus and outlook. Experience in managing subcontractors’ performance including cost and quality of the works delivered Knowledge of all aspects of the building construction and maintenance industries include contractual matters and legislation together with appropriate dispute resolution methods.
