Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Slough
Salary: £55,800 - £61,300 (inclusive of shift allowance) dependent on experience
Performance Bonus: Company bonus based on performance
Welcome Bonus: £5,000
Shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off - 12 Hour shifts 7-7

Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment and fixing electrical/control issues sitewide.
The role mainly focuses on troubleshooting electrical equipment and reactive maintenance. As you accomplish troubleshooting requirements, you will shift towards preventative maintenance.
What are we looking for?
* Electrical engineering qualifications such as served apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ, or equivalent
* Advanced electrical skills and intermediate control capabilities
* Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues confidently
* Motivated individuals with a strong customer focus who work well within a team
* Experience in complex technical problem solving
Key responsibilities include:
* Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on single and three-phase systems, safety circuits, and resolving technical failures on machinery, including non-like-for-like changes
* Understanding control systems such as Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Modicon, and communication protocols like Ethernet, Devicenet, Profibus
* Supporting breakdowns and prioritizing electrical issues, acting as an escalation point for site-wide electrical problems
* Detailed reporting and recording of maintenance work using SAP system
* Providing technical support and coaching for equipment failure resolution with safety and quality in mind
* Supporting root cause analysis on major, recurring breakdowns and undertaking preventative maintenance activities
