We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our day-to-day accounting operations, manage month-end processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and enjoys building efficient processes that scale.

Key Responsibilities.
* Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
* Liaise with external auditors and support the year-end audit process.
* Oversee payroll accounting and managing related compliance filings (e.g PAYE, P11D) in collaboration with HR and external providers.
* Manage the day-to-day accounts payable and employee expense processes with support from junior staff.
* Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings and other tax compliance obligations.
* Implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements across the finance function, including documenting processes and accounting policies.
* Manage ad hoc projects (e.g cross functional process improvements, M&A integration, system implementation)
What you’ll bring to the role.
Experience, Attitude & Core Skills
* Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Proficient in NetSuite accounting software
* Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role (ideally for a remote team)
* Experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and/or IFRS
* Familiarity with tax compliance (e.g VAT, corporation tax)
* Hands-on experience processing UK payroll and ensuring compliance with statutory filings and deadlines
* A solid understanding of internal control design and operational efficiency
* High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem solving

* SaaS or technology sector background
* Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency operations including international intercompany transactions and consolidated management reports and financial statements
* Knowledge of ESG, R&D tax credits or transfer pricing
