Job Summary and Responsibilities As an associate General Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing dental diseases and disorders in patients of all ages. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the oral health and overall well-being of patients while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Dental Examinations: Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, including medical history review, X-rays, and oral assessments to identify dental issues and develop treatment plans. Dental Procedures: Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, crown placements, bridges, and denture fittings, to address patients' dental needs effectively. Preventive Care: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive measures to maintain optimal dental health. Administer fluoride treatments and dental sealants when necessary. Restorative Dentistry: Restore damaged or decayed teeth using various restorative techniques, ensuring functionality and aesthetics are both considered. Periodontal Care: Diagnose and treat gum diseases, perform scaling, root planning, and other periodontal procedures as required. Oral Surgery: Perform minor oral surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions, when necessary. Endodontic Treatment: Conduct root canal therapy to save diseased or infected teeth. Orthodontic Evaluation: Assess orthodontic needs and refer patients to orthodontic specialists as appropriate. Collaborate with Dental Team: Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, maintaining a patient-centric approach throughout. Dental Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records, treatment plans, and patient progress notes. Continuing Education: Stay informed about advancements in dentistry, attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant dental regulations, infection control protocols, and safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications and Requirements: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an accredited dental school. Active state dental license in good standing. Eligible for registration with the General Dental Council of the United Kingdom Proven experience as a General Dentist, preferably with a diverse range of dental procedures. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with patients and the dental team.
