Embracing a fast-paced and engaging work environment, they are looking for a Finance Director who will make a significant impact and contribute to their ongoing success.The RoleAs Finance Director, you will lead the financial strategy, collaborating closely with the board and strategic team to shape comprehensive finance reports and drive decision-making processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to spearhead budgeting and forecasting frameworks, manage diverse projects, and oversee the development of a small junior finance team.In your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll take charge of all aspects of financial management, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. From managing cash flow to preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, conducting variance analysis, and identifying both risks and opportunities, you'll hold overall responsibility for the end-to-end accounting process. This is an exciting role for a seasoned finance professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a thriving and innovative organization.Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end business accounting processesOversee reporting, forecasting, and budgetingPrepare monthly and quarterly internal financial accounts and coordinate year-end audit with external auditorsMonitor and manage cash flowEnsure regulatory compliance and oversee auditsImplement financial strategies and policies to maintain financial healthAnalyse variances, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate contingency planningHandle project finance, invoicing, and client debtorsManage payroll and regulatory compliance, including expense approvalsNegotiate insurances and handle tax reporting, including VAT and Corporation TaxProvide financial guidance to leadership team to achieve business objectives and assist in business planningIdentify and implement cost-saving initiativesManage relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, insurers, and IT providersHandle tenant property matters, including lease negotiationsWhat we need to see (required): Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Experienced in creative, project based SMEsExperience leading a finance functionAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholdersStrong financial planning and modelling experienceWhat we’d like to see (preferred): Previous experience in an architecture or design business10+ years in FinanceAn interest in the architecture spaceExperience using Access Accounting SystemLocation: London (5 days per week in-office)Salary: £100,000 - £115,000 + benefitsStart Date: FlexibleAt Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
